This course examines key theoretical and practical aspects of event and facility management in the sport industry. Students will learn about the role of event and facility management in the sport industry, including connections to government, tourism & hospitality and economic development. This course includes practical elements of planning, coordinating, managing and promoting live sporting events at York University facilities. The sustainability and life cycle of sport and recreation facilities is explored, with special emphasis on accessibility and impact in marginalized communities. CCE: HH/KINE 3510 3.00.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
