This course examines developments in the calypso circa 1922-1992, including changes in its form, function and content. The course also explores the calypso for commentaries on nationhood, community relations in a multi-ethnic society and issues of sexuality and gender relations. Course credit exclusion: AP/REI 3305 3.00 (prior to Fall 2013). PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusion: AS/HUMA 3305 3.00.
