This course introduces major themes in the field of business and society, including various theoretical approaches and concepts. Particular attention is paid to specific historical developments in the rise of the capitalist economy, and the social transformations associated with these developments. Course credit exclusion: AP/SOSC 1340 9.00, AP/SOSC 1349 6.00, AP/SOSC 1349 9.00. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusion: AS/SOSC 1340 3.00.
