The music video form emerges and overlaps with the emergence of American white pop singer Madonna. We juxtapose the relationship with then emergent queer theory, Madonna's video, Vogue, the transgender documentary, Paris is Burning and eventually with the contemporary television show, Pose, set in the same period and culture. Does Madonna exploit these for content?Pre-requisites: AP/SXST1600 9.00, AP/SXST1601 Cr=6.00, AP/SXST2600 (6.00), AP/GWST1500 (6.00), AP/GWST1501 9.00 or AP/GWST2510 9.00
